As a part of the 2020 ARTSLAB residency program for Shopfront Arts Co-op, 'Plastic Slippers' was my installation project discussing the discourse between Chinese and Australian culture within the context of the household.

"Growing up in a predominantly white-centric area, Chinese culture was not always met with open arms and a friendly chat with the neighbours. Rather it was often swept to the side, quietened by the loud laughter of suburban dinner parties and backyard cricket matches."
